I don't remember the details, it was just something he mentioned when I was
thinking of putting aftermarket studs in my new engine. I think from memory
they were both tested to 30 tons which I suppose means ultimate strength.
You are right about not knowing what you are getting and the complexity of
knowing which is "best". My dad's old blown Triumph ran plain old cast
Hepolite pistons with 85% nitro!
