Very True. Warranties are nice too, and when you're blasting through the desert or mountain pass, 50 miles from town, it's nice to know the bike is stock. Now if only MY ZX-12 would get here. That "stock" 600 is making as much power as a genuinely stock 9R though! Sometimes it makes me wonder if it's worth all the aggro, and expense, of building a special when you can just buy a 12 or a Busa, slap some wheelie-bars and a slick on it and run 8s, or just leave it alone and still go 200mph and ride it around every day!
