I have installed a pair of Weber IDF 40 carbs on my GL1000 Street fighter. I 
could not get the jetting right until I hooked up an O2 sensor. I had the 
muffler shop weld a fitting in the pipe. The sensor came from the nearby tune 
up shop and the gauge is a $9.99 digital volt meter.  Voltage runs from .1 
volt, lean: to .9 volt. rich. The 14.7 ratio comes at .5 volt.  Total cost, 
less than $50.  In anyone would like more info get back. Bill    San Diego
